We all want the people in power and authority to change the circumstance with the environment, and they seem to know the urgency, but they don't seem to take action, why is that?
The first reason may be that they support companies and organizations that does harm to the environment. For example, they support a company that produces gas to fuel cars, if they start to take action on the environment, they are basically saying that they will stop supporting the companies that produce gas. This might cause the company to loose money because there was one less support for their industry.
The second reason may be that other global issues are prioritized over climate change. In countries like Syria, the government has to solve the problem of war and violence first and then care about its climate. This is also a reason why other global issues are also as important as climate change.
The last reason may be that the country's citizens are not giving enough opinion on this issue. The government always seeks voices from the public, and if the public does not speak up for these issues, the government might not take action. However, this might not be the case in most countries, as obviously, the government leaders know how severe this issue is, however, perhaps people need to experience something to know how bad it is. I am not saying that
To conclude, a country has many reasons to not take action on climate change. And there is also and aspect on the public's view, so we should speak up and show our passion!
