Greta Thunberg

"My message is that we’ll be watching you. This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you!" These words come from passionate Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, this comes from her speech at the United Nations.

The start of her passion comes from a sign she made before the Swedish parliament. It read: "School strike of climate". These words show that Greta is willing to give up anything to fight for climate. She understands that the generation that kids and teenagers are living in is dangerous, so someone has to stand out to protest and make the voice heard. Many teenagers are aware of the issue, but they are either too afraid or too shy to share their thoughts and ideas to people who are in power, so they choose to stay quiet. However, there are people in this world who should finally speak out and tell leaders their opinion and thoughts.

Her influential speeches eventually grew in numbers of audience, more people started listening to her, and in turn, more leaders are starting to take action.

What do you think are the things we can do to help climate change? Let us know in the comments below!
